Excellence

The School of Industrial and Business Studies at Universidad Industrial de Santander (UIS) is nationally recognized as a pioneer in industrial engineering. With a strong academic foundation and ongoing innovation, it has established itself as a key reference for higher education institutions developing programs in this field.

The School maintains nearly 150 agreements with the productive sector, fostering collaboration that strengthens its three core missions: teaching, research, and outreach. Through these initiatives, the academic unit actively contributes to addressing challenges faced by both the industrial sector and government institutions.

Finance and Organizational

Management Service

Cost system design, strategic planning, occupational health and safety (OHS), quality management systems, compensation systems, function and procedure manuals, project formulation and evaluation, entrepreneurship and business plans, marketing plans, and market research.

Optimization and Organization of Production,

Administrative and Logistics Systems Service

Process analysis and standardization, statistical process control, time and motion studies, productive system design, distribution chain logistics, data analytics, and plant design for production improvement.

Technology, Innovation and

Knowledge Service

Information systems, innovation management, and formulation and evaluation of technology-based projects.
