Electronic Mail Service

Email accounts are created for students, alumni, and faculty members of the Universidad Industrial de Santander.
Each mailbox will have storage space managed per user to prevent exceeding the assigned quota.
Users will receive their mailbox already created. When logging in for the first time, they are advised to change the assigned password.
The University is not responsible for the content of text, audio, or video that users send or receive using the assigned email account.
Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their password and account, as well as for all activities carried out under them.
Users agree to: (a) immediately notify the University of any unauthorized use of their password or account or any other security breach; (b) ensure that their account is properly logged out at the end of each session. The University shall not be liable for any loss or damage resulting from failure to comply with these obligations.
Considering the nature of the Internet, users agree to comply with all local regulations regarding online conduct and acceptable content.

Users acknowledge and expressly agree that the University shall not be liable for any direct or indirect damages, including but not limited to data loss or other intangible losses, even if the University has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
The use of the email service provided by the University for commercial purposes is not permitted, nor is the sending of mass emails that may affect the proper functioning of Internet services.
In the event of unauthorized use of the email service, the University will provide user information to the entity requesting it for investigation purposes related to improper use of the service. This does not mean the University is part of the investigation; it is simply the entity providing the service.
If the University is required to terminate the email service for any reason, it will notify the user and will not be responsible for any loss of information after the decision is implemented.
The email service for students is free of charge.
Users must comply with regulations regarding the protection of information and data established by the Constitution and the law.
Users must comply with the email usage policies; otherwise, the provision of the service will be terminated.
