Altissia Language Learning Platform
ABOUT THE
Unit
Altissia is a digital language learning and assessment platform that offers interactive courses and proficiency tests in 24 languages through advanced educational technology. Universidad Industrial de Santander (UIS) provides its entire academic community (students, faculty, researchers, and administrative staff) with free access to Altissia, with the institutional goal of enabling all graduates to achieve fluency in a second language.
This partnership builds on Altissia’s strengths in providing autonomous learning, personalized learning paths, and reliable assessment aligned with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
REGISTRATION AND Access
To access the Altissia language learning platform, users must follow the procedure below:
Registration
Registration must be completed using your UIS institutional email address only.
If your email account is not activated or you experience access issues, please contact admincorreo@correo.uis.edu.co for support.
Complete the registration form available here:
Activation
Within 4 to 8 business days after submitting the form, Altissia will send an email with instructions to activate your profile. You must wait for this email to complete the access process.
DIGITAL Exchange
Limited Spots Available
Digital Exchanges are live conversation sessions where students from different institutions across the region practice the language they are learning, guided by an expert instructor who serves as a moderator.
The sessions cover a variety of topics and are offered in several languages. Participation is subject to availability and the conditions announced for each session.

Objectives
Increase interest in foreign languages.
Encourage foreign language learning.
Promote intercultural exchange.
Democratize the internationalization process of higher education institutions (HEIs).
ELIGIBILITY
Requirements
The requirements for participating in the UIS – ALTISSIA Digital Exchange call are:
- Be an active student at Universidad Industrial de Santander.
- Have a minimum English or Portuguese proficiency level of A2.
- Be registered with Altissia and have an active account for at least 2 months before the call for applications.

CAN’T ACCESS THE PLATFORM?
If you are already registered, remember that you must first create your password on a computer. You should have received an email with the subject “Mejora tus competencias Lingüísticas con Altissia” at your institutional email address from noreply@altissia.org or info@altissia.org. If you did not receive it, please write to support@altissia.org from your institutional email account and describe the issue you are experiencing with Altissia.
