The comprehensive training of a doctor requires an understanding of the health-disease process, which involves various factors that can either contribute to a state of well-being or, conversely, to a state of suffering. For this reason, the field of psychiatry can be seen as a frontier through which various theories must pass to facilitate the understanding of mental disorders.

In this regard, the doctor graduated from our program, in addition to a solid biological foundation, must also consider the psychological aspects of personality and take into account the family and social context. The experiences accumulated throughout a person’s life can either foster the development of the potential and skills needed to achieve the goals of their life project and actively contribute to the construction of society, or, conversely, become obstacles that generate frustration and high levels of stress, thereby accelerating the progression to a mental disorder.
