Excellence
The mission of the School of Physiotherapy is to train autonomous physiotherapists who base their ethical, investigative, and professional actions on the construction and appropriation of knowledge, critical and reflective thinking, tolerance, and responsibility. These qualities enable them to contribute to the improvement of the quality of life of individuals and communities through the prevention of movement disorders, enablement, recovery, and optimization of functional capacity, thus promoting biological, psychological, and social development.
The mission is grounded in the human qualities of its members and their commitment to the institution and society, as well as the dialogical and scientific pedagogical attitude of its faculty.

Courses and diplomas
Aimed at professionals to enable their updating in the different fields of performance, and promote permanent improvement. These activities are carried out through diplomas, courses, seminars, workshops, internships, congresses or symposia, in the face-to-face, blended, virtual and distance modalities.
Based on the needs of training and professional updating, as well as the strengths of the Program in teaching, research and extension, the School of Physiotherapy has offered short continuing education courses in the form of seminar – workshop in the following thematic areas:
Gait analysis.
Wound management.
Physiotherapeutic intervention in the upper and lower limbs.
Management of musculoskeletal pain problems.
Cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation.
Applications and effects of physical modalities in lesions of peripheral vascular origin.
Physiotherapeutic diagnosis of the cardiopulmonary system.
Muscle plasticity.
Physical activity and physical exercise.
Physical modalities.
Likewise, it is proposed to work in the following thematic areas:
Movement analysis with emphasis on postural assessment and ergonomics.
Design and implementation of projects in the community area.
Physiotherapeutic intervention in movement alteration of neurological origin.
Physiotherapeutic intervention in movement disorders associated with musculoskeletal problems.
Comprehensive pain management and quality of life.
Disability in the regional context.
